Traceweb
Traceweb, a major client of Nitric Industries, is a call-centre business with a difference. A room of operators work on tracing people. Organisations unable to find their customers supply incomplete, old information on the lost subjects. For a fee (which is only charged per successful trace) operators find people by working from the partial data, consulting various databases and calling employers and relatives. Founder Mia Stewart describes tracing as an art, and she has selected a winning and talented team.
We developed customised systems for Traceweb to manage their entire operation. Data is captured or bulk-loaded into the tracing system, assigned to operators on the floor, or outsourced to external agents. After the traces have been worked there is a quality control process. Automated feedback and billing is done on regular batch runs or in real time. Reporting with email alerts ensures that nothing slips through the cracks.
Businesses use Traceweb to locate debtors. Their clients range from attorneys to insurance companies to banks.
We not only designed, support and maintain their operations systems but have also provided a Linux-based thin client lab for the staff. Ubuntu desktops are served to diskless workstations giving the staff a simple virus-free environment to work in. The few legacy Windows applications that they require are available via a single Terminal Server computer. Traceweb is a shining example of how Linux works well in a business environment.
See Traceweb's website for more information on their services.
