Textback is web-based software for running multiple SMS services or campaigns.

• Earn revenue from premium SMS services in South Africa
• Run SMS-based competitions or information services
• Send targeted information to specific subscribers when they request it (for example sending account balances on request)

What is a pull service?
A pull service is when a subscriber sends an SMS to a number using a keyword. They are then sent back a response. TextBack can be used for all sorts of applications, from competitions to sending account balances to your clients.

More features of TextBack
You can create any number of services on TextBack using unique keywords for each service. You can add as many incoming lines to TextBack as you like (note that each incoming line incurs a monthly cost from the network providers) TextBack allows you to setup logical rules to alter the response the subscriber receives. You can change the outcome of the message depending on how many messages have already been received, or depending on the user's cellphone number.

Using TextBack
TextBack is completely web-based and easy to use - it requires no installation and can be used from anywhere. Large volumes of responses can be imported from spreadsheet if necessary - making it easy to load data from other programmes.

TextBack uses the BulkSMS sms gateway to send the SMSs. We can hook up cross-network premium short numbers in RSA, or international regular numbers.

The costs of TextBack are:

• Once-off setup fee of R2,000

Above prices include VAT. Note that these prices exclude the cost of premium lines, which can be obtained from BulkSMS. At the time of writing the costs of premium lines are approximately R1,500 setup and R350 per month.

How to get Textback

• First, get your incoming line(s) from BulkSMS, by following the instructions here
• Contact us to setup TextBack with your BulkSMS account name and which line(s) you have purchased with them.

You will be required to comply with government regulations regarding SMS competitions and SMS services, such as how you are required to advertise the cost of premium services.
